Is jaw tension becoming part of your everyday life?
Some of the signs that you may be clenching your jaw or experiencing TMJ problems include constant tension through your jaw and cheeks. You may also have pain in these areas, particularly if that tension has been building for some time.
Headaches, facial pain and even symptoms around the ears can also be associated with excessive jaw tension. You may have tried massaging your jaw yourself and found that it helps for a while — but the tension or pain keeps coming back.

Why does the tension keep coming back?
Once the jaw begins to hold tension, it often can't easily let go of it. It can become the body's 'go-to' place for holding the stress and busyness of day to day life. And once that tension becomes well established, it can start to affect other areas too, which is why you may also begin to experience things like neck stiffness or headaches.
By working systematically with the muscles and fascia of the jaw, face and surrounding areas in this TMJ course, you can begin to unwind some of that tension and help ease your symptoms. After months or even years of tension building up, basic jaw massage may not be enough to create lasting change. That's why I'd like to show you the techniques and approach I use every day with patients in my clinic to help reduce jaw tension and address the areas that may be contributing to it.

Hi, I'm Elly
MEET YOUR THERAPIST
I'm Elly Lindsay, a Myofascial Therapist specialising in persistent jaw, facial and headache pain. I work daily in my clinic with people who are struggling with jaw tension and symptoms that can begin to affect much more than just the jaw.
My interest in this area has developed through years of clinical work, alongside my own research into TMJ pain. What I have found is that lasting relief comes from more than just massaging the area that hurts. My approach combines the myofascial release with an understanding of the wider muscular patterns and nervous system responses that can contribute to persistent tension.
I created Unclench Your Jaw to teach you the same principles and practical techniques I use in my clinical work, in a way that you can learn gradually and safely at home.
