Online Course Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply when you purchase and participate in Unclench Your Jaw (“the Course”).

The Course is provided by Elly Lindsay, Myofascial Therapist, of Baker Miller, 133 Highland Road, Southsea, Hampshire PO49EY(“we”, “us” or “our”).

Please read these Terms carefully before purchasing the Course. By completing your purchase, you agree to be bound by them.

1. About the Course

The Course is a self-paced, evergreen online course providing education, general information and guided self-help practices relating to jaw tension, temporomandibular joint (“TMJ”) symptoms, facial discomfort, myofascial release, body awareness and nervous-system regulation.

The Course may include:

  • prerecorded video lessons;

  • demonstrations of self-myofascial release techniques;

  • intraoral and extraoral techniques;

  • breathing, grounding or relaxation practices;

  • written materials, worksheets or downloadable resources; and

  • any other materials described on the Course sales page.

The exact content and structure of the Course are described on the sales page at the time of purchase.

2. Who the Course is for

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase or participate in the Course unless we have given prior written permission and a parent or legal guardian has purchased it on your behalf.

You are responsible for deciding whether the Course is suitable for your circumstances. If you are uncertain, you should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before purchasing or beginning the Course.

3. Important health and medical information

The Course is provided for educational and general self-help purposes. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any medical, dental, psychological or other health condition.

Purchasing or participating in the Course does not create a therapist-client, doctor-patient or other clinical relationship between you and us. The Course is not a substitute for assessment, diagnosis or treatment from a doctor, dentist, physiotherapist or other suitably qualified healthcare professional.

You should obtain professional advice before participating if you:

  • have unexplained, severe, worsening or persistent pain;

  • have experienced recent injury, surgery or trauma to your head, face, mouth, jaw or neck;

  • have an active infection, significant swelling, unexplained bleeding or an open wound;

  • experience jaw locking, significant changes in your bite or an inability to open or close your mouth normally;

  • have altered sensation, facial weakness, dizziness or other neurological symptoms;

  • have a medical condition that could affect the safety of the practices;

  • are pregnant and have concerns about whether any practice is appropriate; or

  • have otherwise been advised to avoid self-massage, myofascial release, intraoral work, breathwork or similar practices.

Seek urgent medical assistance where symptoms are sudden or severe, or where you experience symptoms that may require immediate medical attention.

4. Practising safely

You agree to follow all safety instructions and precautions provided within the Course.

All techniques should be performed within a comfortable range. You should never force a movement or continue a technique through sharp, severe, unusual or increasing pain.

Stop the practice and obtain appropriate professional advice if you experience concerning symptoms, including significant pain, dizziness, faintness, numbness, unexpected swelling, bleeding, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a marked worsening of your symptoms.

Intraoral techniques must only be performed as demonstrated, with clean hands and appropriate hygiene. They must not be performed where there are open wounds, active infections, recent dental or oral surgery, unexplained bleeding or any other reason a healthcare or dental professional has advised against them.

You remain responsible for your own health, choices and participation throughout the Course.

5. Results

People respond differently to self-help and therapeutic practices. Your experience may be affected by many factors, including your health, medical history, consistency of practice and the cause and duration of your symptoms.

We do not promise or guarantee that the Course will reduce pain, resolve symptoms or achieve any particular physical, emotional or other result.

Any testimonials, case studies or participant experiences are individual examples and do not guarantee that you will experience the same outcome.

6. Price and payment

The price of the Course will be displayed on the sales page and at checkout. Unless stated otherwise, the displayed price includes any applicable taxes.

The Course is purchased through a single, one-off payment. Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.

Your place and access will normally be confirmed once payment has been successfully processed. You are responsible for ensuring that the payment and contact information you provide is accurate.

If a payment is reversed, charged back or found to have been made fraudulently, we may suspend access while the matter is investigated.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights concerning payments made without your authorisation.

7. Course access

The Course is delivered through Wix.. You may be required to create an account and accept the platform provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

You will receive access for at least 12 months from the date of purchase.

“Lifetime access” will only apply if those words are expressly stated on the sales page. If lifetime access is offered, it means access for as long as we continue to operate and make the Course available, rather than for the lifetime of any particular individual.

Course access is personal to you. You must keep your login details secure and must not allow anyone else to use your account.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that:

  • login details have been shared;

  • the Course has been copied or distributed without permission;

  • your use is unlawful or seriously disruptive;

  • you have attempted to compromise the security of the website or platform; or

  • you have materially breached these Terms.

Where reasonably possible, we will contact you before terminating access and give you an opportunity to explain or remedy the issue.

8. One-to-one support call

Your purchase includes one optional 20-minute one-to-one support call with Elly Lindsay..

The call is intended to give you an opportunity to ask questions about the Course content, discuss your experience of the practices and seek clarification about how to apply the techniques taught within the Course. It does not constitute a medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment and is not a substitute for advice or care from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

The call:

  • is limited to one call per Course purchase;

  • is for the registered participant only and cannot be transferred to another person;

  • must be booked using the booking link provided;

  • must be booked within six weeks of the date you are first given access to the Course; and

  • is subject to the appointment times made available through the booking system.

If no suitable appointment is available within that six-week period, you must contact us at info@ellylindsay.co.uk before the booking deadline so that a reasonable alternative can be arranged.

If you need to cancel or rearrange your call, you must provide at least 48 hours’ notice. Where less than 48 hours’ notice is given, or you do not attend the appointment, the call may be treated as used and we are not obliged to offer a replacement.

If we need to cancel or rearrange the call, you will be offered an alternative appointment, including where this falls outside your original six-week booking period.

The support call has no separate cash value. Choosing not to book or attend it does not entitle you to a full or partial refund for the Course.

9. Technical requirements

You are responsible for having a suitable device, a reliable internet connection and compatible software capable of accessing the Course.

Details of any known technical requirements will be provided on the sales page or by the course platform.

We are not responsible for problems caused solely by your device, internet connection, software or failure to meet clearly stated technical requirements. This does not affect your rights where the Course or platform itself is faulty or has not been supplied as agreed.

10. Cancellation rights and immediate access

If you are purchasing as a UK consumer, you will normally have a legal right to cancel an online contract within 14 days of entering into it.

Because the Course contains digital content, you may be asked at checkout to expressly consent to receiving access immediately and to acknowledge that, once the supply of the digital content begins, you will lose your 14-day cancellation right in relation to that content.

If you give that express consent and acknowledgement and we provide immediate access, your statutory cancellation right may end when access to the digital content begins.

If you do not request immediate access, access may be delayed until the 14-day cancellation period has expired.

Where a statutory right to cancel still applies, you can exercise it by emailing info@ellylindsay.co.uk with your name, order details and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

Nothing in this section removes any right you may have if the Course is faulty, not as described, or cannot be accessed because of a problem for which we are responsible.

11. Refunds

Except where you have a statutory right to cancel or another legal remedy, Course payments are non-refundable once access has been provided.

Any voluntary refund guarantee is additional to, and does not replace or restrict, your statutory consumer rights.

If you believe that the Course is faulty, materially different from its description or inaccessible because of a problem for which we are responsible, contact us at info@ellylindsay.co.uk We will investigate and, where appropriate, provide a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund in accordance with applicable consumer law.

12. Availability and changes

We may make reasonable changes to the Course where necessary to:

  • improve its content, presentation or accessibility;

  • correct errors or outdated information;

  • reflect changes in professional guidance or legal requirements;

  • address safety concerns; or

  • maintain compatibility with the website or course platform.

Any changes will not materially reduce the overall content or value of the Course you purchased.

We may temporarily interrupt access for maintenance, security, technical problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to restore access as soon as practicable.

If we permanently discontinue the Course before the end of your stated access period, we will provide a reasonable alternative, downloadable access where legally and technically possible, or an appropriate partial or full refund.

13. Intellectual property

All Course content, including videos, audio, text, demonstrations, graphics, downloads, worksheets, branding and other materials, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual-property law.

When you purchase the Course, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and use the materials for your own private, non-commercial learning.

You must not, without our prior written permission:

  • share your account or login details;

  • copy, record, reproduce or republish the Course;

  • use Course materials to teach, train or provide services to other people;

  • remove copyright notices or branding; or

  • adapt the Course to create another course, programme, publication or commercial product.

You may download and print resources only where a download or printing option is provided, and only for your personal use.

14. Acceptable behaviour

If the Course includes comments, discussions, group spaces or contact with other participants, you agree to communicate respectfully and not post material that is abusive, discriminatory, threatening, unlawful, misleading or infringes another person’s rights.

We may remove inappropriate material or restrict access to interactive areas where reasonably necessary to protect participants or the Course community.

You must not rely on comments made by other participants as medical or professional advice.

15. Personal information

We process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at [PRIVACY POLICY LINK].

The course platform and payment provider may process your information under their own privacy policies.

You should avoid sharing sensitive medical or personal information in any public or group area associated with the Course.

16. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed, or for business losses where you purchased the Course wholly or mainly for personal use.

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for harm resulting from:

  • ignoring Course safety instructions or contraindications;

  • forcing or materially altering a demonstrated technique;

  • continuing despite pain or concerning symptoms;

  • using the Course instead of seeking appropriate medical or dental attention; or

  • allowing another person to use your account or Course materials.

Nothing in these Terms makes you responsible for harm caused by our negligence or removes rights that consumer law gives you.

17. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as widespread internet or platform outages, natural disasters, serious illness, government action or failure of essential third-party infrastructure.

If such an event materially prevents us from providing the Course, we will contact you where reasonably possible and take appropriate steps to minimise its effects.

19. Changes to these Terms

The Terms that apply to your purchase are those presented to you when you place your order.

We may update these Terms for future purchases. We will not retrospectively make a material change to your existing contract without a valid reason or where doing so would unfairly disadvantage you.

20. Transfer of rights

You may not transfer your Course access to another person without our written agreement.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, provided that doing so does not reduce your contractual or statutory rights. We will notify you if this happens.

21. Severability

If a court or relevant authority decides that any part of these Terms is unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

22. No waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not prevent us from enforcing it later.

23. Governing law and courts

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts under the laws that protect you as a consumer.

Your mandatory consumer rights in the country where you live are not affected.

24. Entire agreement

These Terms, the Course sales page, your order confirmation and any policies expressly incorporated into them form the agreement between you and us concerning your purchase.

Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud or prevents you from relying on statements that legally form part of the contract.
